paintball & Manchester

Currently I'm sitting in my bed with my new favorite black hoodie from Primark men section with half straighten hair and no make up on while listening to music through new earphones. And it actually feels really good.
I have to tell you about the recent trips I had.
On Tuesday, 18th, our office organised the trip to Paintball! We visited Delta Force near Birmingham. It was an interesting experience. Even though I ended up with some hurtful bruises on my legs and arms, I spent the time with my colleagues, whom I can easily call my friends now.
If you want to feel some adrenaline Paintball is definitely a place to go, but it can get a bit dangerous sometimes. The masks we had to wear were quite uncomfortable and tight sometimes and it was really temping to take it off, but we were not allowed to since if you get a 'paint bullet' in your eye, you can go blind.

On Wednesday, five of us girls decided to visit Manchester. Comparing my other trips to Bristol or Brighton, I would have to say that I was not that impressed with Manchester, but to be honest I feel like weather was probably the factor that kinda ruined it. When we got off the coach the sun was shining and we all bought breakfast and coffee and sat in the first park we saw on the grass and it was amazing. We started walking around the streets, visited a few shops and galleries, but later on it started to rain. Regardless, we spend the last few hours sitting in wetherspoons talking about life and stuff, as you do. I would definitely consider visiting Manchester again, but next time I need to do the proper research what to do and see in the city.

new lust

i have been staring at this blank page for a while.

i had a really awesome night yesterday. It was one of my work friends last day in Birmingham for a while so we decided to go to a pub. to be honest, it was just another excuse to drink, since we have just a few shifts during the week. it ended up as a house party at my place. it was really weird seeing that many people in our kitchen drinking, in the garden smoking and in the living room dancing.

the song that's currently playing on my iTunes is saying 'don't think about it too much, this is more than just a new lust for you'.
I was talking to my friend about last night and I was really excited to tell her about everything that happened and stuff, but now as I'm rethinking the whole night I feel I'm getting back to that 'depressed-i-need-love' phase. I don't want to go back to that. NEVER AGAIN.

I'm also thinking about working on a new header and background for the blog. I'm pretty sure it's time to switch it up a bit, because I believe I haven't changed it since beginning of 2014.

this picture is from the comedy night we had at work. boy was it interesting atmosphere and experience. proper British.

finally found the T-Shirt I was looking for a long time. my essence.

new bikes and friday nights

Stoviu po dangum, aš bandau prisiminti
Ką reiškia atsimerkt ir norėt nenumirti

It's a bit weird that I enjoy this Lithuanian pop song so much. Don't know what it is, but the beat just relaxes me.

so Karaoke was fun! I'm pretty sure it was the first time I tried a drink from these types of glasses. That's why me and Gratsiela kept posing for pictures, but only one of them is good enough to post :D Just noticed Becky photobombing the photo, hahaha!

On saturday I had a 13 hour shift at Silverstone. I swear, I love the team there. There were so many 'Friends' references between my colleagues during the shift, I was amazed. Including 'Mark bruises like a peach' and 'I'm not touching you, can't get mad *in a proper Chandler's voice*.  The whole place has an awesome atmosphere.

I can now understand why British people love their cuppa so much ( cup of tea for the rest of the world :D). Honestly, there's nothing better, that having a cup of tea after you get back from the city/work/errands drenched. It has been raining non stop for a few days that you don't even realize anymore. Literally, I walked out of my house today with sunglasses in my hand expecting some sun. I desperately needed umbrella instead. But the good news is I got a bike! Me and Kristina were trying to find this vintage/thrift market. Bought new bikes and it was only 30 pounds - a steal!

bed or a pub

yesterday was such a nice day, comparing to this rainy morning.

in the evening, I got an offer to go to a pub and at first I said no, cause I'm going out today. But when I thought that I could be socializing with people rather than watching friends in my bed again, I thought, screw it. And I'm really glad I did, because while we were talking, we realized that one girl is looking for a flat as same as me, and now there's 3 of us. Which makes it possible to rent the flat we kept our eyes on since May. Oh God, I really want that particular house. And we made plans to go to a theater to see a play, because one of our friends is an actor. And we made plans to finally go and buy bicycles, which I'm craving for since May as well :))
No pictures from the pub though. But I will be talking loads of pictures tonight. Well, I hope so. I'm planning to dye my hair (just the roots need doing, nothing too crazy) and wearing my new dress, which somehow makes me really excited. It's going to be a Karaoke night that our office is organizing. Should be fun!
Also, leaving your freshly washed clothes outside in the garden through the whole night hoping it won't rain in England is not a good idea.

Nike vs Vans

Recently I started to realize that I'm starting to forget all the different shifts I had. All the memories from work during 2014 are starting to fade. And I missed my blog. So I thought that even short posts are nice to have on my blog.
Yesterday I worked at Hilton St. George. Serving dinner to Americans from shoe company Nike. I swear, it was so nice to hear a proper american accent. And it does sound exactly like from the movies. I heard one young lady saying ' you should go to New York and then get a flight to LA' . *trying to make an american accent; completely failing*.
and the day before that, I decided that I want to go back to my lovely Vans. I'm glad that I can go into the shop and buy my favorite shoes. I worked for it.
accidentally listening to this now, laying in my bed, all cosy.

And also, I wanted to share this article. Every single sentence defines me. I'm guessing I'm not the only one then. http://www.idealistrevolution.org/how-to-love-a-girl-who-doesnt-know-how-to-be-loved/

:)

it's the end of July and my life is completely different than it used to be. I'm not really OK with it. But I will be, soon.
also, I read a few of the latest posts of mine and ffs I make so many grammar and spelling mistakes.
and I haven't shared my vlog from Field day festival weekend, which is kinda weird.
so yeah, things been hectic.
and  I really want to book a trip somewhere. even if it's in the UK. I WANNA GO PLACES.
but I need to sort some things out.

you're the dutch and I'm the dutchess

it's been too long. Right now I can barely remember my holidays back home. But I'm certain of one thing. Even though when people asked me, when I'm coming back to LTU again, I said probably at the end of the summer, because I want to go to a few music festivals, but right now, I cannot see myself back in LTU at all. My mom said 'don't say that, you will probably change your mind by the middle of the summer' and who knows, it might be true. But as of right now I don't even want to think about it.
Don't get me wrong, it was not that bad. But when I came back  to UK I felt more myself for some reason. I was feeling really out of place  in LTU. Felt like I need to prove something for people I don't even care about anymore. So, yeah.
I also wanted to write a big appreciation post about Bristol and I wrote most of it on my way back to Brum on my iPod, but my iPod is now dead and I'm not really in the mood to talk about how I feel about choosing the wrong city to live in :D But I will add some pictures to remind myself for next time,  maybe I will write all the feelings down about it and publish it.
But the main reason why I opened my blogspot again was this song. I'm not in love. ( well, I have no idea what real love feels like, but I think I'm not in love). It has been stuck in my head for a few days and I just wanted to share.

I make fun of your belly and tell you do some crunches
And you say, "Yeah, well, your ass jiggles, go and do some lunges."
I say, "Fuck you," while I'm thinking of you as my husband.
I didn't think it could be true
Let alone that it would be you
I think I'm in love again
